Turskish delight (Loukoumi) made in the Holy Monastery of Xenophontos
In Mount Athos all pilgrims have captured in their mind the moment when entering the guest house (arxontariki) of a single cell or in a monastery, facing on the table three things. Water, turkish delights (loykoumia) and raki. Its really indelible memories for those who were lucky enough to walk and sweat on Mount Athos paths. How much relief felt by entering the cool arhontariki, whith excitemett to drink the water that was offered to them and how much hesitation stretched their hands to get second or third delight from the dish of the table.
The fathers of the holy Monastery Xenofontos, take care of the preparation of this exquisite treat in seven flavors: Caramel, orange, rose, berry, coffee, banana and betel.
